Long description
Kimodameshi Online is an asymmetric online horror game for 4–8 players on voice chat. Everyone is a streamer. Chasing subscribers with a "kimodameshi" (a Japanese test-of-courage dare), you strap on a GoPro and walk into a junior high school frozen in the Showa era since the day of an accident.
Exploration lasts 10 minutes, and the time left is shown not as a clock but as your camera's battery. The more photo targets you find and carry out of the school — and the more scares you live through — the more concurrent viewers you get, and the more subscribers you gain at the end of the round. There are no team wins or losses; each player's result is their own subscriber count.
But one to three of your friends are traitors, possessed by ghosts. They walk alongside you like nothing's wrong, then leave their bodies, drift through walls, and wreck the stream with traps, tricks and sabotage. Streamers can vote at any time; a traitor who gets a majority of the votes can no longer manifest (appear and attack) for the rest of the match.
Voices fade with distance, go muffled behind walls and barely carry between floors. The school's layout changes every round, and the host picks a building from 2 to 4 floors.

- Stream it. Grow your channel. — Find the photo targets scattered around the school and carry them back outside. Every shot you take — and every scare you survive — pulls in more concurrent viewers, and at the end of the round you gain subscribers: final viewers × subscribe rate.
- One of your friends is a traitor — One to three traitors are humans possessed by ghosts. They walk alongside you like nothing's wrong — then leave their bodies, drift through walls, and wreck the stream with traps, tricks and sabotage.
- Proximity voice chat — Voices fade with distance, go muffled behind walls, and barely carry between floors. Only those who have left their bodies can eavesdrop through walls.
- A different Showa-era school every time — An empty junior high school where time stopped on the day of an accident. Rooms are rearranged every round, and the host can choose a building from 2 to 4 floors.
